Worth the Climb

Stickle Tarn,
The Lake District
When we lived in England one of our favorite places to visit was The Lake District. Located in Northern England, this beautiful area boasts stunning scenery-peaceful lakes, plush, green hillsides, and majestic mountains. One day, we decided to climb up Stickle Tarn...a mere 1200 feet, my sons reassured me...an easy hike. Whilst they virtually ran up the hillside like four mountain goats, I slowly huffed, puffed, and panted my way to the top, stopping numerous times to rest and wishing that I was somewhere else. Several times I nearly gave up, but a surprise was waiting for me. When I finally dragged my weary body over the last few rocks and rounded the corner of the peak, I saw a little lake, shaped like a tear drop, nestled right there on the top of the mountain. What an unbelievable sight! I never knew it was there! Seeing that hidden lake was so worth the climb!
Do you ever feel weary in your minstry? Do you ever wish you were somewhere else? Don't quit. Keep climbing...you never know what will be there when you reach the top. And if you give up, you might never get to see it.
No eye has seen......what God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Cor. 1: 9
